During constructivist
activities, an essential question is presented to an individual or a group
for thoughts and discussion. If students are working as a team, they go forth
to find information about issues that surface during their discussion time.
As a team, students assign roles and identify jobs that need to be completed
for the benefit of the whole group. Ultimately, they tap into their current
understanding and journey forward to new understandings through a continuous
cycle of inquiry and exploration.
